It is highly recommended to have your area rugs professionaly cleaned at least once every 2-3 years to keep the beauty of your rug and help it keep its beauty for as long as possible. A dirty rug will begin to show wear and tear as the dust particles and debris hidden in the rug wear away at the fibers and the color. A dirty rug will start to lose its color and vibrancy as the dirt and dust rub away the shine and color with each step. A clean rug can keep its new look and shine for generations.
Each rug is treated differently based on its unique characteristics. Rugs may be cleaned by hand, or with one of our specialized rug cleaning equipment. Upon inspection, we can recommend and describe the best and safest way to proceed with the rug cleaning.
During the rug cleaning process, we may us special stain and odor removal methods to help completely eliminate any stains and odors in the rug. We use different stain and odor removal cleaning methods for each different type of rug. Sanitizing treatments, deodorizing treatments, pet stain and odor treatments, special rug stain removal treatments, color restoration and other specialized treatments can all be incorporated into the cleaning process.
For certain types of rugs, including silk rugs and wool rugs, we may recommend our highly effective six step delicate cleaning process. For our 6 step cleaning process we use only clear water and a special shampoo for the treatment of the rug. As a result of our six step cleaning process, you will notice the return of the vibrant colors and the original look of your rug. Rugs are suspended to dry naturally in open air. |

- Step 1
Before washing the rugs we will make use of a prebath vaccuuming system to remove dust particles caught between the fibres inside the rug.
- Step 2
Bathing the rugs in a high volume of pure water to clear the remaining dust particles and bacteria.
- Step 3
Rugs are hanged in the air to dry in a special temperature and humidity controled drying room.
- Step 4
A purifying treatment is applied to bring back the natural clean smell of wool and silk rugs.
- Step 5
Drying rugs will go through steps 1 to 4 again until they show satisfactory results.
- Step 6
Rugs are inspected throughly, rolled and made ready for delivery, wrapped in a protective plastic film.
